Your free shot is full HD with no watermark — same quality as paid — so you can check the likeness first. With points you can add animation, make more shots and scenes, and apply for commercial-use licensing (the free shot can't be animated).
Only your own, or photos where the subject has given you explicit consent. Photos of minors alone, public figures, or anything infringing someone's portrait rights are prohibited.
Images take about 1–2 minutes (longer at peak); animated videos take about 2–5 minutes. Progress is saved under Account → Jobs, so feel free to go do something else and check back.
